As Chief of Police I would like to welcome you to
our website, our city, if you are a resident, visitor, or if you plan to
visit.
I have a dedicated staff of three full time
officers, three part-time officers and a full-time secretary/Community
Service Officer. Each Officer takes pride in serving the residents of
Albany and the people who pass through. We are located in Central
Minnesota in the heart of Stearns County just off I-94, home of The Lake
Wobegon Trails where friendly paths cross.
We operate with three fully equipped squads with
two being Dodge Chargers both equipped with digital cameras. Graphics
on our squads represents our beautiful 18-hole golf course, Lake Wobegon
Trail, with back ground in our school colors of purple and white “Home
of the Albany Huskies”. Our residents take great pride in our moving
billboard in which is our squad cars.
My philosophy in leading the Police Department is
to be proactive; doing so by education, public presentation, interacting
with the residents we serve. Being a strong advocate in preventing
crime from happening but if it should occur we will be there for you to
do what we can to help heal the pain and get things back on track in a
professional manner. “Working together to make and keep Albany a safe
place to live”
I hope you never become a victim of a crime but if
you do, I hope the experience with the Albany Police Department is a
positive one. If you have comments or concerns please don’t hesitate to
contact me at e-mail
albanypolice@albanytel.com or by phone at 320-845-2200.
I am honored to serve as Albany’s Police Chief;
