The Albany Lion's Park Shelter on 6th Street is used regularly by residents and visitors.  A baseball field and basketball court are nearby. 

Also, near the shelter is the City's Warming House at 530 Linden Ave. and ice-skating and hockey rinks. The rinks are usually open by the end of December through mid-February (weather permitting). 

 

The warming house is equipped with first aid kits, telephone, benches and skates for people to use.
