The Albany American Legion Park is located at 400 Railroad Ave. next to the Albany City Hall.  Memorial Day services are held at the location each year.  The Albany Public Library also holds special events such as public performances and kids activities here as well.  Since the shelter so near to the Lake Wobegon Trail, it is used as a often used as a resting area by trail users.
